About Me

I'm revamping my website. This is now officially the 'old' site, but it's going to be a while until I get all of the content switched over, so rather than taking stuff down, I'm doing everything very slowly and trying not to have broken links. The new, pretty, and hopefully more easily navigable site is over here.

Welcome! I, as you may have guessed, am Maggs. You may have seen me out vending at the Dane County Farmer's Market in Madison, WI on Saturdays, or down on Library Mall, or at one of several Renaissance Faires in the area. I also teach wire-wrapping classes at The Vinery stained glass store as part of their advanced fused glass pendant class.

I make all of my own jewelry. I started making beaded jewelry in 1998, then progressed to fused glass and, more recently, lampworked beads. This website is not a e-commerce site, it is more a showcase of the types of jewelry that I make. If you are interested in any custom orders, please feel free to contact me. If you saw an item when I was out vending, and didn't buy it then, but you are interested in it now, just drop me a line, describe it as best as you are able, and I'll post a picture of what I think you're interested in, and let you know what the cost is. Yes, I will make custom beads or do custom fusing, but I will put my own spin on any design. Making jewelry is a very creative process for me, so any custom order will be my interpretation of what you want. It might not be exactly what you pictured in your head, but if you don't like it, you're not required to buy it. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me.. I may only update my website sporadically, but I do check my email pretty much every day. To see the new stuff I've been working on, please check my Fresh from the Kiln page, which I try to update at least a little more frequently than I manage with the rest of my website.
